Default Necro Minions - Attribute Dependant Additions

What about Attribute Dependant Minions? so you can be any type of necro and still be able to use minions, but hte minions would have special attributed retaining to the one you summoned...

Blood Horror: gains health when they hit enemies or return health to you when they hit enemies.

Death Horror: Deals Cold Damage and causes disease when struck

Soul Horror: gives you energy whenever it strikes an enemy

Cursed Horror: causes weakness and reduced speed to foes it strikes.

and the damage, hp and skills retaining to the attribute it is summoned from is directly co-effected by the amount of attributes points in that particular attribute. (like if you have low death magic then the cold damage and disease time is reduced drastically etc.)

It's an interesting idea, but it just wouldn't work out balance-wise, which is the most important factor to consider. In this case, almost nobody would use death magic. Blood magic is already great on its own, and if it has minions, most of the people who used to use death would go over to blood. Not to mention curses... besides, most of these sound very unbalanced. The soul horror , for instance, even if it gives you 1 energy every time it hits, it would be very easy for any decent minion master to completely recharge his energy bar every few seconds.

Agreed. Those poor Death-Magic bastards get nothing good besides those Minions. Curses wreak havok in some ways Mesmers cannot, and, well, Blood owns your freakin' life! Soul Reaping could use some skills, but not summons.

Well, not PET summons.......
Anyone ever played Hexen?
Remember the Cleric ultimate weapon, with all the awesome ghosts?

Yeah, gimme that as an Elite. That'd be Freakin' AWESOME!

Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about! Except I think (I don't really remember, this was a while ago ) that the ghosts were just projectiles and didn't actually come out to fight on their own (unlike the minotaur summoning item )

It would be nice, but not necessary if soul reaping had some skills though. Those collector's item that give 20/20 to soul reaping skills (which don't currently exist) give me the idea that Arenanet may add a few in an expansion , either that or they just forgot.
